The people and places of the Greets Green New Deal area really come alive on film. Videos produced over the lifetime of Greets Green Partnership give a flavour of the community spirit that helped make the programme so successful and highlight some of its many achievements.
A promotional video designed to encourage local owner-occupiers to take-up the offer of free central heating, solar water panels, loft and cavity wall insulation.
By the time the Partnership’s funding came to an end in 2008, 120 homes had benefited from new central heating, 59 had new insulation and 58 had solar panels.
Produced in March 2009, this video summed up the New Deal programme to date. It was the centre piece of the Partnership’s Succession Strategy event at The Public where local organisations and businesses were asked to pledge their support to carry on the good work started.
Over the years Greets Green Partnership held a number of events for local people to come together and have some fun. The Christmas Festival 2007 was held in the Memorial Gardens and featured a visit from Santa, lots of information stalls and displays, performances from local people and a firework finale.
This feature length documentary was premiered at Greets Green Partnership’s celebration event at The Public in January 2010. Split into three parts below, it takes you though the 10 years of the New deal programme, highlighting key achievements and lessons learnt. Features interviews with local people themselves, GGP staff and board members and representatives from partner organisations.
